Answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with all conversations kept confidential. Callers can receive safety planning support, information about available services, crisis counseling, prevention education, and referrals to community resources. Translation services are available to help callers in multiple languages.
Legal Advocacy Services
Advocates help victims obtain Temporary Protective Orders, accompany them to court hearings, and navigate the judicial system. They also assist eligible victims with Victim’s Compensation applications, pursuing criminal warrants through magistrate court, and understanding legal options and paperwork.
Emergency Shelter
The shelter provides immediate safety, meets urgent needs, and supports survivors in their efforts to work toward independence. It is staffed 24 hours a day and offers a homelike environment with shared living, kitchen, and dining areas, plus a computer lab, laundry room, children’s playroom, and outdoor playgrounds.
Outreach Program
​Advocacy services are available through our outreach offices in White, Habersham, and Stephens counties for those not in shelter. These services include safety planning, relocation assistance, and help connecting to community resources, as well as support in navigating legal and social service systems.
Pet Shelter
The pet shelter at our Emergency Shelter allows survivors to escape abuse without leaving their pets behind, providing a safe temporary home so they can begin healing together. It also removes a major barrier to seeking safety by offering comfort and stability for both survivors and their animals.
Individual Counseling
Trauma-focused therapy counseling services are provided by licensed therapists. Therapy offers support for rebuilding a sense of safety, self-worth, and autonomy in relationships, including help with boundaries, triggers, and healthy coping strategies
Support Groups
Support groups provide a confidential, nonjudgmental space where survivors can share experiences, learn about abuse and healing, and feel less isolated, while also connecting to additional resources and support.
Children's Program
Services for children and youth may include advocacy, mentoring, recreational and family enrichment activities, individual counseling, support groups, school liaison services, and age-appropriate safety planning. These services promote safety, resilience, and healthy development while helping young people build skills and support networks to heal and thrive.
Prevention Program
We offer a comprehensive, age-appropriate K–12 school-based program that educates youth about healthy relationships, warning signs of abuse, and how to seek help. We also partner with local colleges and youth-serving organizations through workshops, classroom presentations, and special events to promote a culture of respect and safety.
Community Education & Outreach
In-service training and presentations about domestic violence and agency services to law enforcement, schools, churches, civic organizations, and other agencies requesting information about domestic violence and Circle of Hope services.
