Legal Advocacy	Direct Service (supervised or unsupervised) Support COH participants in court proceedings; support victims during process of obtaining an ex-parte Temporary Protective Order (TPO) or the final order	18 years of age Attend basic orientation 10 hours of additional training (only if unsupervised) Annual TB screening Local criminal background check Fingerprint checks Valid driver’s license and insurance (only if transporting Proof of physical exam

Mentor/After-Care Program	Direct Service (supervised or unsupervised) Assist staff with follow-up care to women and children Working one-on-one with participants as mentor, role model, sounding board, and cheerleader Provide emotional support, personal advocacy, information and referral	18 years of age Attend basic orientation 10 hours of additional training (only if unsupervised) Annual TB screening Local criminal background check Fingerprint check (only if unsupervised) CPR/First Aid (only if unsupervised) Proof of physical exam

Building/Grounds Maintenance	Indirect Service Assist with general maintenance of the shelter and/or grounds that includes: repairing appliances, yard work, painting, carpentry, etc.	18 years of age
Thrift Store Program	Indirect Service Under supervision of Thrift Store Coordinator Duties include: cash register, sorting, pricing and display of donations; customer service; donation pick-up advertising and public relations	18 years of age Attend basic orientation 2 hours of additional training on Thrift Store policies and procedures
Administrative	Indirect Service Duties include: filing; shredding of documents; organizing office supplies; help staff with projects	18 years of age Attend basic orientation
Internship	Direct Service (supervised or unsupervised) Duties include all of the agencies programs in order to provide knowledge of all programs	18 years of age Attend basic orientation 10 hours of additional training (only if unsupervised) Local criminal background check Fingerprint check (only if unsupervised)
