First, a throng of pets and their owners initiated the first leg of the event with a one-mile Pet Trot and Fun Run. Dog breeds from Boxer, Chihuahua, Labrador Retriever to Shih Tzu, Sheltie and Multivarietals made the 1-mile trek part of the way up Tower Mountain and back down with their human pals. Then, nearly 50 people took on the more demanding 5000 Kilometer Road Race to the top of the mountain and back vying for overall and age group awards that featured matted collectible artwork by local artist Jan Walker.

The overall winner was Michael Fidero with an astounding finish time of 18 minutes 8 seconds; Overall Female and fifth place overall was Monika McCool with a time of 23:12. Male Masters champion was Mark Kelly coming in 7^th overall with a time of 23:30 and Nancy Woods took Female Masters honors with a time of 30:14.

Circle of Hope congratulates all of the winners and thanks the many dedicated runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers who helped make this annual fundraiser a success.
